Our family went to Temple Square to take some photos last week. We have a bit of a temple theme going on lately, so we thought it was appropriate to get our pictures taken here.

Sweet Little Girl
I would like you all to meet....
Emma. (Brit... hope you don't mind, but it just fit). Here are a few pics of her first weekend at home.
Emma and Elliott chillin on the stairs.
Elliott teaching Emma how to catch grasshoppers.
Elliott watching over Emma as she sleeps. He loves her soooo much.
Elliott's Halloween costume :) He wore it for approximately thirty seconds, just for the picture. He slips into a coma whenever I put clothes on him.
My freaky Halloween eyes and new hair color.

New do.
Ok, I've been blonde for long enough, but I must admit, I like it. It's very unlike me to not to change my hair color or style on a regular basis. Needless to say, it's time for a change, but I want some input.
White Blonde?
Black?
Red-Orange?
Dark Brown?
Medium Blonde? (close to what it is now)
And this is as close to natural as it gets.
Thoughts?? Suggestions??

Crazy Cat Lady
In the words of a former co-worker, I'm becoming "the crazy cat lady." You know... that single old lady that lives alone and collects cats, except in my case... its dogs. Yep, Elliott has a little sister on the way. I'm having trouble coming up with a name, which is why I'm asking for help (Brit, thanks for the idea). My two blog readers may be able to help me out :) I just have a few requirements, she must have a human name, and it must go with Elliott. She's four weeks old now, and I'd like to come up with her name soon so she can get used to it before I bring her home in a month or so. Look at this adorable mug.....

Little Rascals
I try to walk my dog on a daily basis. Now that the weather is nice, we've been going quite a bit. But I am having flashbacks to elementary school lately. There is a group of kids, probably around ten years old, that always make comments about my "wiener" dog. However, they always leave out the dog part. Here are a few of the most common:
"Can I play with your wiener?"
"Your wiener is furry."
"You're a wiener lover."
I'm beginning to get offended. And so is Elliott.

Big or small....save em all.
We did our second annual Race for the Cure for breast cancer research this past Saturday. I beat my time from last year by five minutes :).
The Racers.
Mike and me.
We ran in celebration of Wendy Divine (my aunt) and in memory of Grandma Hilbert.
My super survivor of an aunt. Almost five years cancer free!
This is such an amazing experience and I would encourage EVERYONE to do it next year.

Stinker.
My dad decided to smoke some baby back ribs tonight for dinner. As they were smoking, my dad comes in and tells me that I'm going to have my hands full tonight. My sweet, sweet pup Elliott had found where the grease from the meat was dripping onto the ground. He also managed to place himself directly under the grease drip to lick up what had hit the ground. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but his head was drenched in stinky pig grease...
Needless to say, he had a bath....and this is the normal aftermath of that.

One Last Shred.
Brighton closed on Sunday and a bunch of us went up for one last ride. The conditions were horrible in the morning, dust on crust. I can't believe that on closing day, it was snowing. The sun broke out at the end of the day and the snow softened up. It was such an amazing season, and I can't wait until next year. Here are some shots of the day.
The crew. Lil Jake, Nate, Chuckles, Nat, Tony, Jason the Dyer, and Jeff.
Nate and his sick wall ride.
Tony, Nat, Brett.
End of the day :(
And here's a video of me doing a 50/50 on a box. Ignore the landing please :)

True Love
I couldn't think of a better way to start out this blog than by introducing my true love. She, (yes she), has been with me through the winter, keeping me from getting those seasonal blues. We have had amazing good times, and will continue to do so....at least for a few more weeks. I will then put her to rest after a nice hot wax until December. Here she is.... Gnu B-nice....
Snowboard of my dreams. The edges have a new patented technology called MAGNETRACTION. They are wavy, and grip in hard packed powder like you wouldn't believe. Anyway, enough nerdy talk. Here are some photos of my wonderful season....
Newbie
Well, I'm at a turning point in my life, so I figure I'll jump on this bandwagon and see where it takes me....
